Our Mission

The Committee of Senior Business Administrators (CSBA) is a self-governing body, representative of Texas A&M University’s business administrative community.  CSBA advocates, leads, innovates, creates, and guides the development and implementation of business related best practices, university rules, processes, and systems.  Through our collective expertise, we actively facilitate the sharing of knowledge through mentoring, training, and development to support the highest standards of excellence and the overall professionalism of the university’s business administrative staff.

We are very proud that through the efforts of all members, CSBA notably contributed to further the President’s three strategic imperatives of Transformational Learning, Discovery and Innovation, and Impact in the following ways:

  • Hosting the annual TAMU CSBA Together Towards Tomorrow conference, with a variety of topics intended to strengthen staff’s understanding of themselves and how their personal efforts contribute to the success of the entire university
  • Through our Business Learning Series we hosted multiple classroom sessions to inform about the conversion of the iPayments system
  • As a collective committee, CSBA has worked to partner with the Division of Finance’s leadership to strengthen our presence on campus, and to elevate the visibility of our mission to serve the needs of the business community.  This year we were pleased to submit a list of suggested training to the Division of Finance for some future course development that we hope will provide a common core understanding in the areas of higher education accounting and its practices.
